Coupled with the fact that I crave comfort food and I&#8217;m trying to cut down from the sugar insanity that is Christmas, it&#8217;s nice to have something semi-healthy to fall back on.<\/p>\n<p>Speedy &#8220;Baked&#8221; Apple (serves 1)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 apple, cut into 8ths and cored<\/li>\n<li>generous pinch brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp. raisins<\/li>\n<li>a nice sprinkle of <a title=\"Poudre Fort and Poudre Douce\" href=\"https:\/\/www.auntiepasto.com\/?p=255\" target=\"_blank\">poudre douce<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Put the apple pieces in a microwave-safe bowl. Top with brown sugar, raisins, poudre douce, and dot with bits of butter. Microwave 3-5 minutes depending on the power of your microwave and how cooked you like your apple.
