Alas. Their turkey and Havarti sandwich is a go-to of mine when I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m out and about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not a Boudin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s knock-off, but rather something inspired by their concept, and evolved based on what was in my kitchen. It is simple, delicious, and hearty for something so delicate-tasting.<br \/><br \/>I served it with broiled shishito peppers and apple slices. It made a light yet filling lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Turkey and Havarti Tea Sandwich<\/strong><br \/>Serves 2<br \/><br \/>2 slices buttermilk bread (preferably homemade)<br \/>2 Tbsp butter<br \/>1 clove garlic, minced<br \/>2-3 sprigs fresh thyme<br \/>6 generous slices smoked peppered turkey<br \/>1 tomato, thinly sliced (you will probably not need all of it)<br \/><br \/>Toast the bread lightly if desired.<br \/><br \/>Pluck the leaves from the thyme stems, and mash them and the garlic into the butter. Add a pinch of salt if you are using unsalted butter.<br \/><br \/>Slather the butter over the bread. Top with slices of Havarti, then peppered turkey, then tomatoes.
